Masters dissertation – final qualifying work (WRC) research character. Completeness of the disclosure of the subject allows you to determine the educational level of the student, to assess the degree of formation of analytical skills and his ability to independently solve scientific problems, in general, to draw conclusions about the adequacy of knowledge and skills of the student in the GEF master’s degree.

Master’s thesis is original scientific research aimed at solving one or several problems, united by a common goal. The work is written by the graduate independently on the materials accumulated during the training and during the pre-diploma practice, and its implementation is monitored by the supervisor. The content of the master’s thesis can be of three types: a theoretical study; solution of applied problems; development of innovative methods and approaches to solving academic problems. Master’s work essentially differs from the WRC of a bachelor’s degree by a deep, comprehensive theoretical study of the problem being solved, and from a specialist diploma by a more academic orientation of the study. Writing and defending a thesis gives the graduate the opportunity to demonstrate the competencies and knowledge gained during the course of training, and show readiness for scientific and pedagogical activity. If according to the results of public protection a student receives a positive assessment, he is awarded an academic master’s degree.
